Second Swedish National Day racing in Royal Park

On Friday, June 6th, it's time for the second running of the National Day Racing in the Royal Park in central Stockholm.

It was a big success the first year in 2013 when more than 30.000 people attended the first running.

The venue is almost the same as the old racecourse in Stockholm which had its last race meeting in 1918.

On Friday there will be five races (one more than last year), three for English thoroughbreds and two for Arabian thoroughbreds. Two pony races will also be run, without betting.

In the Arabian races some guest horses from the Netherlands will participate.

The weather forecast says is for 22 degrees on Friday and mostly sunshine. If so it can be expected that thousands of people will join the racing party.
