In July 2017, it was decided to create a loose association of those racetracks in our region which stage official, Thoroughbred racing on the beach.

Until the pandemic struck, the European Beach Racing Association held annual meetings, at Plestin-les Greves, Laytown and Sanlucar de Barrameda. Last year we were delighted to return to holding an in-person meeting which some joined virtually, at Cuxhaven, Germany. In 2023, the EPRA will take up the kind invitation of new member Zahara de los Atunes, in Spain on Sunday, 29th October, following the beach races at its festival the previous day.

Keep checking in for more news from the European Beach Racing Association
