In July 2017, it was decided to create a loose association of those racetracks in our region which stage official, Thoroughbred racing on the beach.

To date, the European Beach Racing Association has held annual meetings at Plestin-les Greves, Laytown and Sanlucar de Barrameda. In 2020, Duhner-Wattrennen have kindly offered to host us, at Cuxhaven.
