Secretary-General Paull Khan addressed a meeting of the MEP Horse Group, arranged in conjunction with the European Horse Network and held at the European Parliament, on the EMHF's Beach Racing initiative. He explained the genesis and aims of the European Beach Racing Association, which is to hold its inaugural meeting at Plestins-les-Greves on July 31st. The subject of the meeting was Equestrian Tourism and the audience included several MEPs, including Jean Arthuis, Hilde Vautmans and Julie Girling.
The previous day, EMHF delegates had met with key MEPs and European Commission officials during the latest of the annual 'missions' to Brussels arranged by the EU Committee.
