EMHF Secretary-General, Paull Khan, spoke at the conference organised as part of France's presidency of the European Union, and hosted at Saumur by the IFCE (Institut Francais du Cheval et de l'Equitation). Entitled 'The Horse: An Asset for the Post-Crisis World in France and Europe', the conference was held on site at the world famous Cadre Noir National Riding School in the Loire Valley. Khan spoke on 'Horseracing: its Cultural and Economic Significance' and drew on the experiences of some EMHF member countries, such as Lebanon and Libya.
