With effect from July 1st, 2014, rules relating to eligibility for Handicap races in Germany have changed. Previously, a horse trained outside Germany was only entitled to run in Category 1 and 2 Handicaps and was required to have been allotted a Handicap Rating in its home country. Now, such horses may enter any Handicap in Germany, provided they have won at least one race (in whatever country) in either the current or previous season.
